Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Counting On You (the "App"), including its companion website at countingonyou.online (the "Site"). By creating a countdown, sharing a link, or otherwise using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App or Site.

What the App does

Counting On You lets you create countdowns to dates that matter to you, personalize them with an icon, a photo, a colour, or a drawing, and optionally share them with other people via a link. Shared countdowns can be public (anyone with the link can view them) or private (only people you invite can view them).

Accounts

You can use most of the App without creating an account — it works anonymously on your device from the start. Creating or owning a shared countdown requires signing in with Apple or Google, so the people you invite have a way to find their way back to it. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you add to a countdown — titles, dates, photos, drawings. By adding content, you give us permission to store it and show it to whoever you've chosen to share that countdown with (or to anyone, if you've made it public), for as long as the countdown exists. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, and don't use the App to post content that's illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights. We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.

Sharing and public links

If you set a countdown to public, its title, date, colour, and any icon or photo you chose are visible to anyone who has (or guesses) its link — think of a public countdown link the same way you'd think of a public social media post. Private countdowns are only visible to people you've explicitly invited.

Counting On You Pro

Pro is an optional one-time purchase (not a subscription) that removes the Free plan's one-shared-countdown limit and unlocks other Pro features described in the App at time of purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies; we can't issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the App to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Don't upload content you don't own or don't have permission to share.
• Don't try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the App's infrastructure.
• Don't use the App for anything illegal where you live.

Termination

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how. We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

No warranty

The App and Site are provided "as is." We do our best to keep countdowns, shared links, and notifications working correctly, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available forever, and we're not liable for lost content, missed notifications, or anything shared publicly at your own choice.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the App changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
